A One-Two For Our Golfers

Following on from their recent sojourn into Surrey it was the turn for our golf section to host the first of their two annual tournaments - our PGM’s Inter-Province Golf Championship which was held at Kings Hill Golf Club, West Malling on Wednesday 30th May.

A One-Two For Our Golfers

Winning team: Kent 1 - Bob Appleby, Gerry Miller, Keith Reynolds, Adrian Wagstaff

Well done to Gerry Miller, Keith Stoner and their team for all of their hard work and administration, which led to a most successful day which culminated in a total of ten teams representing six Provinces - Buckinghamshire, Essex, Kent, London, Surrey and Sussex - taking part.

It was a particularly good day for our Province with Kent 1 - Bob Appleby, Gerry Miller, Keith Reynolds and Adrian Wagstaff winning the trophy and Kent 2 - Terry Hall, Martin Holder, Archie Torrance and Chris Torrance coming home as runner's up. This meant that the Mark Province of Kent retained the PGM's Trophy for a second year in succession, the first Province to do so.

After the event Ian Clark, the PGM for Surrey Mark, tweeted: "A super day at the Kent Mark Golf Day at Kings Hill Golf Club. Congratulations to Kent First Team on taking the Trophy. Thanks to the PGM and to the organisers for a great day, and to the chef for a most enjoyable carvery. Surrey Mark look forward to returning in the future."

The Kent Mark Golf Association's next home event is the Hyundai Classic at Kings Hill Golf Club. They are always open to new members, anyone interested should contact:
