Congratulations To Neil Hamilton Johnstone

The Province extends its warmest fraternal congratulations to W. Bro. Neil Hamilton Johnstone PAGDC PPGSW on his forthcoming appointment to Provincial Grand Master and Grand Superintendent over the Masonic Province of East Kent.

R.W. Bro. Archie Torrance PGM said: “I am absolutely delighted to hear that W. Bro. Neil Johnstone has been selected as the new Provincial Grand Master for the Masonic Province of East Kent in succession to R.W. Bro. Geoffrey Dearing who will soon be taking up his new post as President of the Board of General Purposes at United Grand Lodge of England. Neil is a well known Mark Master Mason and I congratulate him on this wonderful appointment. I am sure I speak for all members of our Province when I say that I wish Neil every success in his new role. We look forward to supporting him when he is installed and to working with him in the future.”

W. Bro. Neil was advanced into Kent Mark Stewards Lodge No. 1691. in 1998 becoming Master in 2004. He was the Lodge's Charity Steward from 2010 until 2015.

He was a member of the Provincial DC’s Escorting Team, becoming a Provincial Grand Steward (active) in 2004, Provincial Grand Senior Warden (active) in 2010 and was appointed as PAGDC in 2012.

In the Royal Ark Mariner Degree Neil was elevated into Dewar R.A.M. Lodge No. 237 in 1999 becoming Commander in 2005. He joined Kent Installed Commanders’ Lodge No. 999 in 2009 and gained Provincial Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank in 2010.
