The event was held under the Presidency of RW Bro. Francis Charles Spencer, PGM of Worcestershire, at the beautiful & spacious grounds of the Chateau Impney Hotel, Droitwich.

Some 800 guests gathered for a pre-dinner drinks reception at the conclusion of which we were invited to take our seats in the Broadway Suite for the Festival Dinner.

On the menu was a Timbale of Dorset Crab & Prawns, Roast Rib Eye of Beef with Crushed Rosemary Potato and vegetables followed by an Assiette of Summer Desserts accompanied by a choice of red or white wine.

Next followed the toasts. The first three, to the Queen, the MW Grand Master and the Mark Benevolent Fund were proposed by the Festival President. The toast to the President of the Festival was given by RW Bro. John Prizeman, President of the MBF, with the response being from by RW Bro. Francis Charles Spencer, PGM for Worcestershire.

During the evening the Grand Secretary, RW Bro. Lt. Cdr. Angus Hannagan, RD, announced the Festival Result. Details of amounts raised by the various Degrees both within & outside the Province, the Worcestershire Mark & R.A.M. Lodges and other Mark Provinces were given. In all a total of over £560,000 was raised which was an excellent total for a Province consisting of just 24 Mark & 16 R.A.M. Lodges.

Thus an excellent evening came to a close. We are all now looking forward to next year when the Festival Dinner will be hosted at Torquay by the PGM of Devonshire on Saturday 2nd July 2016.
