Kent Installed Commanders Lodge No 999 - Festival Meeting

On Friday 13th June 2014 an emergency meeting of the Kent Installed Commanders Lodge No. 999 was held at Franklin Road, Gillingham to support the Kent Mark 2020 Festival.

The highlight of the evening was a talk especially prepared for the occasion. Bro. Malcolm Brooks had kindly agreed to write the talk and it was delivered by him in his own inimitable style.

It was based on the story of Noah, the building of the Ark, the Flood, the abatement of the waters and was laced with good humour throughout. There were a number of references to the Royal Ark Mariner Degree and some of the signs.

This was followed by a delivery of the Lecture on the Royal Ark Mariner Tracing Board and was given by the Provincial Grand Master’s Demonstration Team (West Kent). This was done in a superb manner. The Lecture was split into 4 parts with members of the team of W. Bros. John Sprackling, Peter Hughes, Peter Tongue & Mike Plant each taking a part.

Following closure of the meeting over 80 Royal Ark Mariners sat down to an enjoyable and convivial Festive Board
