Kent Mark Stewards Lodge 1691 installs a Mason of Renown

On Wednesday 5 March the Kent Mark Stewards Lodge 1691 held its Installation meeting. The Master elect had not previously been through the Chair. Such a situation might normally suggest that the brother concerned is a new and inexperienced Mason but in this instance nothing could be further from the case.

On this occasion, the Master Elect was none other than WBro Malcolm Brooks. WBro Malcolm is, of course, better known to everyone as the Grand Tyler of the United Grand Lodge of England. The Installation itself was conducted by the outgoing Master, WBro Colin Pheasant, in a ceremony, of which anyone would have been envious. With the Provincial Grand Master, Deputy Provincial Grand Master and an Assistant Provincial Grand Master present, the day was even more impactive for everyone attending.

The Festive Board was the usual, happy affair and everyone was treated to enjoyable presentations by the PGM and, of course, WBro Malcolm, a much accomplished speaker.

To mark the occasion, The Master and members of his Lodge were pictured after the meeting with a smaller and more select band also being pictured with the newly Installed Master.

The evening was enjoyed by all and gave further proof that the Mark Degree is most enjoyable and there to be enjoyed by all!
