Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies’ Team 2013/14

Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies Team 2013/14

At Tovil Masonic centre Maidstone Kent on the 2nd December I chaired the Kent Mark Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies annual meeting with all the escorting Director of Ceremonies within the team. This meeting was to discuss all issues of their escorting duties and all ceremonial issues that have arisen throughout 2013. There were many Mark and RAM meetings throughout the year which either the Provincial Grand Master, Deputy Provincial Grand Master or one of the Assistant Provincial Grand Masters attended which required an escorting Director of Ceremonies to be in attendance. All meetings were covered by one of the team.

Other meetings where the Provincial team were in attendance were discussed regarding ceremonial and organisational matters to see if any improvements could be made. These included the Adams Mark no 6 Banner dedication, Granville Mark 390 Banner dedication the RAM investiture meeting, the Annual Provincial Mark meeting and also the sweep up meeting.

It has been another busy year in 2013 for the whole of the team. We have all had an extremely enjoyable and fulfilling year. We would again like to express our sincere thanks to all the Mark and RAM lodges within this great Province of Kent who have received the Principles and their Director of Ceremonies with enthusiasm and for all their help in the preparations prior to and during the visits. Special thanks to the Secretaries and Directors of Ceremonies of these lodges.

The escorting duties for 2014 have been finalised and the whole team are looking forward to meeting many more of the brethren throughout the Province, but mainly in supporting our new Provincial Grand Master, R.W. Bro. Archibald Iain Torrance, his new Deputy Provincial Grand Master V.W. Bro. David John Green and the two new Assistant Provincial Grand Masters W. Bro. Ralph Mannings Apperley and W. Bro. Frederick Brown who we all wish a happy and successful year.

This year we have a new member of the team in the person of W. Bro. Martyn Summers and I wish him well in his new role as one of the escorting Director of Ceremonies.
