The Provincial Grand Master, RW. Bro. Roger Croucher, together with the DeputyPGM, VW. Bro. Peter Williams, the APGMs, VW. Bro. David Green and W. Bro. Archie Torrance as well as 38 other members of the Provincial team visited the Adams Mark Lodge No. 6 at Sheerness on Wednesday 13th March 2013 to conduct the Ceremony of Dedication of the new Lodge Banner.

The Adams Lodge No. 6 is the oldest Lodge of Mark Master Masons in Kent, having been consecrated 157 years ago, yet has, until now, never had a banner. 49 members and other guests joined the Province in marking this special day in the history of the Lodge as the Banner, designed by W. Bro. Melvin Hopper was paraded and exhibited by the newest member of the Lodge, Bro. Simeon Dootson.

An excellent Oration was given by the Provincial Grand Chaplain, W. Bro. Howard Pashley, who stressed the role played by the Founders of Adams Mark Lodge, especially W. Bro. John Staples Keddell, in bringing Mark Masonry to Kent.

Immediately following the Ceremony the PGM was pleased to present Grand Lodge Certificates to Bro. Simeon Dootson, and Bro. William Edwards, who at 86 years old, must be one of the oldest Brethren to have been Advanced in to the Degree.

All present then retired to an excellent Festive Board where the Lodge were pleased to present the PGM with a cheque for £250.00 towards the 2020 Mark Festival, to be held in Kent, a commemorative framed table plan for the evening and flowers for his good Lady.
