Fifty Mark Masons gathered on Tuesday 9th October 2012 at the Dymchurch Masonic Centre for the Dedication ceremony of the Banner for Crane Mark Lodge. The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, Roger Henry Harley Croucher, was the Dedicating Officer. He was accompanied with a good number of Provincial Officers and all present enjoyed a splendid ceremony and festive board in celebration of the new Banner.

The Banner was unveiled to reveal the Keystone adorned with a picture of the ‘Union’ Windmill located in Cranbrook and crossed with an image of the River Crane. The Provincial Grand Chaplain, W Bro Howard Pashley gave a wonderful oration explaining the history of the ‘Cranebroca’, later to become the River Crane. He also elaborated on the history of the Lodge since its formation in 1951.

The Worshipful Master of Crane Lodge, Worshipful Brother Trevor Hills accepted the Banner on behalf of the Lodge. The Banner was paraded and the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master explained the importance of it as an emblem to be proud of and for future Lodge members to enjoy.

The Festive Board rounded off proceedings for the evening with good company, excellent food and a glass of wine.
