Folkestone Lodge of MMM – 125th Anniversary meeting
Folkstone Lodge of MMM 125th Anniversary Meeting

On Tuesday 16th October 2012 a happy band of Mark Master Masons celebrated the 125th Anniversary of the Folkestone Lodge no. 380 in the company of the Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. Roger Croucher with an escort of a gratifyingly large number of active Provincial Officers.

W.Bro. David Grant was proclaimed as the W.M. as he had agreed to continue for a second year to allow gaps in the Officers’ progression to be filled. The Charity Steward, Bro. John Cheswright, then presented the PGM with a cheque for £500.00 for the KMBF which was immediately passed into the safe hands of the Provincial Charity Steward, W.Bro. Fred Brown.

A very successful ceremony was followed by an extremely convivial Festive Board when diners were presented with an engraved whisky glass and a booklet covering the last 25 years prepared by the Secretary, W.Bro. John Linkin.

Sadly the W.M. was unable to attend the meal as he was suffering from an extremely bad cold and the Lodge was very grateful that he had managed to attend the Installation. R.W.Bro. Roger said that the Lodge was highly regarded in the Province and he congratulated it on attaining 125 years adding that he was delighted to hear that it had two Advancees in view.
