Item 1 of the “Guidance Notes and Information for Lodge Administration” on page 24 of the Kent Masonic Year Book (the Red Book) advises Secretaries and Scribes that copies of each summons should be sent to the Provincial Grand Secretary.

In view of the ever-increasing cost of postage, a facility has now been set up to forward these electronically to which will auto-forward to each of the executive’s personal inboxes.

However, please remember that official visitors to your Lodge should continue to receive paper copies of the summons, together with a welcoming letter and any other paperwork associated with the visit.

The rules for sending summonses by email to your Lodge members remain unchanged; each member must receive a copy through the post unless he has specifically requested to receive them by email.

Please let us know if you have any queries regarding this subject or difficulties using this new facility.
