On a beautiful sunny Sunday in June members, friends and families from the Crane Mark Lodge No 1157 enjoyed a wonderful day out in Hastings.

The day started on Sunday morning in Tenterden when The Old London Bus arrived (on time!) and 39 excited passengers boarded. The conductor was most obliging and only charged the more affluent looking Brethren.

In traditional ‘Charabanc’ fashion we travelled to Hastings seafront where everyone enjoyed sand, sea and good old fish and chips. The children were so busy enjoying ice cream and playing crazy golf that they had little time to play with the kites which the lodge had given to each of them.

Despite the intention of being a social event, thanks to the kind generosity of The Old London Bus Company owned by W Bro Keith Brown, the day out raised £180.00 for Masonic charities.
