All receipts have now been collected and counted, and the grand total raised at the party was in excess of £17,000!

Well done and many congratulations to everyone involved. Thanks to all of you for your generous support to the Kent Mark benevolent Fund.

On 4th June 2011 over 150 members of our Province, with their families and friends, enjoyed the benefit of a sunny summer’s afternoon to enjoy our Garden Party and Barn Dance.

Our hard-working Geoff Whale compered the event with entertainment provided by Burt Butlers Jazz Pilgrims Band and our own W Bro Kurly (Geoff Howells).

With many stalls being manned by members of the Province and sponsorship from many Mark and R.A.M. Lodges, receipts are still being counted, but the afternoon and evening was an undoubted success for the Kent Mark Benevolent Fund.

The main events of the afternoon was the demonstration of birds of prey put on by the Faversham Hawklands Group climaxed by the Provincial Grand Master and other brave participants in the barn dancing to The Watershed Barn Dance Band afterwards.

Many thanks are due to the numerous helpers from ticket collectors to tea providers and stall holders. The whole event was organised by W Bros Tony Waspe and Fred Brown, and their Festival committee, and would not have been possible without the generous support of W Bro Ray Suddick, who donated the use of his wonderful garden and grounds. The pictures show the good time being had by everyone with many pledges of support for next time.
