A Warm Welcome to our Website

R.W.Bro. Archie Torrance, Provincial Grand MasterWelcome to the Mark Province of Kent, which was constituted in 1872 at the Royal Hotel, Ramsgate, although our very first Provincial Grand Master was appointed 15 years earlier, in 1857. From humble beginnings it has grown to become the second largest Province in the organisation with 60 Mark Lodges and 47 Royal Ark Mariner Lodges meeting all over Kent and London.

I lead the Province as Provincial Grand Master assisted by V.W. Bro. Fred Brown (Deputy), W. Bro. Ian Gallehawk (Assistant) and W. Bro. Perri Ahmet (Assistant).

We have just completed a very successful fundraising Festival for the Mark Benevolent Fund. Whilst we don’t yet know the overall total raised, that will be announced at the Festival Result & Gala Dinner, we do know that we have qualified as the very first MBF Grand Patron Diamond Province. A wonderful achievement.

The aim of this website is to provide you with information about Mark Masonry and Royal Ark Mariner Masonry in Kent. We hope it will be regarded as a useful resource for our members and as our window to the world.

To become a member of our Order you must already be a Freemason. We hope this website will inspire, and promote interest in, Freemasons and anyone else who might be thinking about Freemasonry. Please do let us know if you are interested so that we can send you more information.

Amongst Mark Master Masons you will ever find friends!

RW.Bro. Archie Torrance, Provincial Grand Master

2020 Festival Gala

Kent Mark 2020 Festival
Until the 2020 Festival Result & Gala Dinner

Following the announcement of a general suspension of all Masonic activity, including social events, the 152nd Mark Benevolent Fund Festival due to be held on 10th October 2020 has been postponed to Saturday 13th March 2021, again at The Kent Event Centre & Showground in Detling.

The Festival team are delighted to confirm that the only thing that has changed is the date. The Festival content and the guest experience will be just as previously advertised, including any hotel bookings.

There have been a few cancellations from guests who are not able to attend our event on 13th March and as a result limited places are now available for those who were not previously able to attend on 10th October. If you wish to register and purchase tickets you can do so by visiting the Festival bookings management website and clicking on the ‘Book Tickets’ tab.
