The evening of Saturday October 21st saw over 80 brethren, ladies and guests attend the Province's 2017 Fine Dining Evening hosted by Granville Mark Lodge No. 390 at The Yarrow Hotel and Restaurant in Broadstairs.

The event marked the start of the 1000 days countdown to the Kent Mark 2020 Festival for the Mark Benevolent Fund and coincidentally raised £1000 in the process.

Our Provincial Grand Master, Archie Torrance, gave his "Sincere thanks to Neil Macintyre of Granville Lodge, Nic Baker ProvGStwd and Fred Brown APGM for all the arrangements". He continued by thanking "Ben Williams, Head Chef; his team of chefs; and the students of East Kent College who made our stay so special."

With less than 1000 days to go, the countdown to the 2020 Festival has well and truly begun and every member present left vowing to redouble his efforts to ensure that we more than deliver on our target of £1.25m.

In closing the Provincial Grand Master wished the 2020 Festival Committee & Fundraising sub-Committee, Area Fundraising Managers and their teams, Lodge Charity Stewards and all members of the Province the best of luck for the remaining 999 days.

The banner has been handed on to Thanet R.A.M. Lodge No. 1073 who will host the next Fine Dining Evening on Saturday 13th October 2018.
