Burns Supper

This event is being planned and organised by the 2020 Festival Events Team and they look forward to welcoming you on the night. Please try to wear something tartan.

Arrival from 5.00pm, for the opportunity of photographs and pre-dinner drinks before guests will be seated at 6.30pm.

There will be a piper in attendance who will be playing whilst the guests are partaking of their pre-dinner drinks at the cash bars. He will then pipe in the haggis, which will be addressed by our own PGM, RW Bro Archibald Iain Torrance. Many feel this address to be the highlight of the evening! There will be a traditional toast to Robbie Burns and the lassies. Following the traditional meal of Haggis, Neaps and Tatties, Braised Beef and Seasonal Vegetables, Cranachan, Coffee and Shortbread (Alternatives are available) there will be a demonstration of Scottish Sword Dancing. This will be followed by musical entertainment from Tom and Eunice Quinn.

The evening will be finished off with live music from the band “Where’s Brian” who played for us last year. Carriages will be at midnight but the bar will remain open until 1am.

All this for a ticket price of only £45 per head.

Members are invited to supply a prize for the raffle. All proceeds will go towards the Kent Mark 2020 Festival!
