Our Provincial Grand Almoner is W Bro Keith Chappell, PGJD. His main role is to provide general assistance and advice to the brethren of our Province and their dependents. Most cases are initially raised by our own Lodge Almoners, though requests for assistance may arise from other sources.

Without going into detail here, the Provincial Grand Almoner is able to assist those needing assistance in the following ways:
Provision of advice and assistance with regard to Medical or Financial support.
Provision of advice and assistance to Lodge and/or Case Almoners.
Liaison in the compilation and submission of applications to Masonic and non-masonic Charities.
Liaising with the Provincial Grand Treasurer regarding arrangements with payments to beneficiaries of Masonic Charities.
To publicise the workings of Masonic Charities when visiting Lodges in our Province.
To obtain, maintain and sustain the provision of electric wheelchairs and other Disability Aids throughout the Province as required.
To provide facilities for brethren, or anyone acting on their behalf, so that personal problems can be discussed in strictest confidence.
To act for brethren in applications for assistance to the Trustees of the Kent Mark Benevolent Fund.
To acknowledge and mark happy events, such as births, marriages, anniversaries, etc.
To make hospital visits and attend funerals as appropriate.

Any brother of our fraternity, or dependent of such a brother, needing assistance should contact our Provincial Grand Almoner (and advise the Lodge Almoner) without delay, remembering that speed of reaction is our watchword.

Telephone contact is encouraged on 01474 872079 or 07954-970933 and by email: alm@kentmarkmastermasons.org.uk.
